The story of The Who's solo careers

Four Faces The Who

I am currently researching and writing a book about the solo careers of Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle and Keith Moon, outside of The Who. Having written previously on the band I've now decided to look at the work the band members have done as solo artists. A varied and entertaining ride it is too.

A lot of books have been (or are due to be) released about The Who since they celebrated their 50th anniversary and I wanted to do something different. I intend to explore the solo work of each member of the band in as much detail as The Who's body of work was covered in 'Anyway Anyhow Anywhere - the complete chronicle of The Who 1958 - 1978', which I co-wrote with Andy Neill.

Pete Townshend Empty Glass SpotsThanks to James Bell for coming up trumps with the promotional notes written by Pete for 'Who Came First' for which I recently put out an appeal. I'm still looking for a copy of the 'Empty Glass' radio 'SPOTS' promotional material if anyone has it. Please drop me a line if you do.

A big thank you to everyone who came down to my 'Rockstars' exhibition recently. It was a great success and thanks to some exposure on the BBC news (below) hundreds of people came through the doors. I really appreciate all the kind words that I received. As the Faces sang 'Had Me a Real Good Time'!
